What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a holistic healthcare approach that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing various musculoskeletal conditions. It highlights the connection between the body’s structure and function. By improving the alignment and function of the musculoskeletal system, overall health can be enhanced.

Osteopathic practitioners use manual techniques like stretching, gentle pressure, and resisted movements to help the body heal itself. Their goal is to improve circulation, reduce pain, and restore mobility while considering underlying factors of a patient's condition.

Patients receiving osteopathic care may experience better mobility, less pain, and improved overall health, making it a beneficial choice for those seeking an integrative approach to wellness.

Osteopathic practitioners undergo 4.5-5 years of full-time study including in-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, clinical skills, and hands-on training in osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).

Our Osteopaths are all current members of the Australian Osteopathic Association, and are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
